Creating Innovative and Genuine Opportunities for People with Disabilities or Disadvantages to Support Their Community Participation
Classes and Activities
As part of our diverse and industry leading programming, many clients have the option of taking an array of classes and participating in a number of activities made available through MRCI.
Life Skill Classes are available offering instruction on cooking, relationships, wellness, shopping and budgeting, and safety. We also offer trainings on self-advocacy, workplace harassment, and provide information on community learning options.
Certain programs offer social opportunities to clients, including trips and outings to local coffee shops, community celebrations, and stores. Other activities include bowling, the Wii video game system, crafts, and volunteer opportunities at several local non-profit organizations.
MRCI has developed sensory rooms throughout our Day Training & Habilitation program areas, allowing clients to receive all types of therapies that can calm or stimulate. Therapies include deep pressure, joint compressions, massage and exercise.
